EX093 Lilo – the all-round playhouse The Lilo playhouse is an all-round playhouse with space for many children. In addition to two benches and a table, Lilo also has an extra bench on the veranda. Thus, there is plenty of room for playing inside, outside and around the playhouse. The playhouse’s kitchen can be found on the outside of the veranda. The kitchen has many small activities that train children’s fine motor skills while stimulating their creative and cognitive development. A safety surface is not necessary, so the playhouse can stand on grass. In addition to two standard benches and the table inside the playhouse, Tobi is also equipped with a veranda, which provides more play space as well as making it easier to enter and leave the playhouse. At the same time, the kiosk play panel inspires kiosk role-play. Role-playing is important for children’s development, because it enables them to live out experiences from their own daily lives. The play village makes it possible to divide the play area into zones, so that lots of children can play together in different places around the playhouses without disturbing each other. The play villages are very practical at, for example, institutions, where the playhouses need to accommodate large numbers of children. Many activities for children of all ages Nora is a play village which is designed for many hours of creative fun and play. One of Nora’s playhouses is designed with a veranda and a kiosk panel, which is ideal for playing shop or another role-play. On the outside, you will find the insect panel, which tests children’s fine motor skills when they move the creatures around. Several children can play together with water and sand at the splash table, and in this way stimulate their sense of touch, fine motor skills and creativity. EX080 Explore Off-roader has been developed in collaboration with children The Explore Off-roader is very popular with children. The Off-roader is targeted at 2 to 5-year-olds, where each play activity is adapted to the children’s naturally creative, physical, cognitive and social development. The Explore Off-roader was developed in collaboration with children – in a so-called co-creation design process, where the children’s input was crucial for the final design of both the off-roader and the numerous play activities. The off-roader has been tested as a prototype several times, and along the way, we have learned more about how children play, so that we have been able to improve the various activities and provide even better play experiences. An activity-packed off-roader From the driver’s seat, several children can operate the Explore Off-roader’s controls, with the steering wheel, moveable buttons and the built-in walkie-talkie. At the front is a moveable towing hook, which also functions as an abacus for number play etc. The headlights also move, stimulating children’s fine motor skills while serving as an element for role-play. At the back, there is space for passengers to sit comfortably and enjoy the view, or to stand and control the vehicle’s telescope. A large window separates the passenger seat and the driver’s seat, yet provides plenty of opportunity for children to interact. From the back seat, there is access to a number of small activities, for example the moveable fuel tank cap and the rotating spare wheel.
