The Explore universe has three different climbing systems. The starting point is the same – how big a climbing net do you want? The smallest climbing net is Mira, Askal is our medium model, and finally there is Manco, the large climbing net system.
Playing on climbing nets isn’t just fun, it’s also good for you. The major muscle groups, motor skills, and in particular balance are all put to the test when children are in full swing. At the same time, playing on the nets requires many cross-movements between arms and legs. This helps to strengthen coordination between the two sides of the brain, which is important when children are learning to read and doing mathematics.
All our climbing nets are made of Taifun rope which has a strong core comprising a total of 48 steel wires. In practice, this means a breaking strength of 4,500 kg. The climbing nets are therefore extremely resistant to vandalism and ensure a stable construction.
The posts are powder-coated in beautiful colours to match our theme worlds while also being protected from rust by hot-dip galvanising.
Taifun rope is vandalism-proof and highly resistant to wear, as it has a core of 48 strong steel wires. The core also gives the rope a tensile strength of 4,500 kg.
All fibre parts are made of nylon to prevent fingers from sticking in sub-zero conditions. All parts are low-maintenance, impact-resistant in all temperatures and UV-stabilised to prevent colour-fading.
Children use their major muscle groups and strengthen their gross motor skills when playing on the play equipment. Gross motor skills are vital for both their basic motor development as well as their fine motor skills.
Making cross-lateral movements with your arms and legs strengthens coordination between the right and left sides of the brain. This is important for children when starting to learn to read and write.
Children use their whole body to keep their balance and coordinate their movements on the play equipment. Balance and coordination are fundamental to children’s physical and cognitive development, and it is therefore important that they are stimulated from an early age.
Children’s games are often fast-moving, and they must be aware of where their playmates are. This effectively trains their spatial intelligence, which is important for being able to judge distances, their sense of direction and recognising places etc.
