Grundejerforeningen Kragelundvænget Vest A play system to complete the playground Just west of the city of Børkop, you’ll find the homeowners association Kragelundvænget Vest. The homeowners association already had an existing playground consisting of a springer and a bird’s nest swing. However, they wanted to enhance the space with a larger play system to complete the playground. Today, the playground is home to one of LEDONs largest play systems in the Basic series, Brandon. This play structure consists of four towers and offers a variety of engaging activities specially designed for children from ages 4 and up. Some of the fun activities include a slide, climbing wall, and monkey bars. These elements not only provide endless fun but also support children’s natural development. Activities such as the climbing wall, monkey bars and stepping stones help to strengthen gross motor skills, such as cross-body coordination, which requires both sides of the brain to work together. The Brandon play system also includes interactive features like the “kiosk” side panel, which encourages fine motor skill development as children are able to twist, turn, and move different elements around. The design of LEDONs Basic series is unique for a number of reasons. The simple design means that the natural colour palette and minimalist aesthetic makes it a structure that can easily blend in its natural surroundings, as well as alongside existing playground equipment. At the same time the series is very price conscious, which makes even a large play system like Brandon more obtainable and great value for money.

Hou Marina A modern playground that transforms the surrounding area The new playground at Hou Marina has transformed the area, by creating a new vibrant place for families to visit. The project’s main goal was to replace the outdated wooden play equipment with modern, durable and low-maintenance play structures that would stand the test of time. It was also important that the modern play equipment would provide high play value for a broad age range, as families with children of all ages frequently visit the area. Hou Marina has always been a popular place for families, therefore it was essential to design a playground that would invite children of all ages to engage with a range of different play activities. The Virok play system from our Explore theme world, was an ideal choice as it offers a combination of play activities for a broad age range, with design elements such as the kitchen panel, tic-tac-toe, jungle hut and the two slides. The natural colour, forms and shapes also make the play system integrate nicely with its natural surroundings and complements the Marina’s aesthetic. Sulsted council A playground that integrates in its natural surroundings The Sulsted council wished for a new playground with equipment that would integrate seamlessly with its natural surroundings, while offering high play value for a broad age group. This project is a great example of how playground equipment made from HDPE (high density polyethylene) material can still achieve a natural aesthetic, through the colour choices, shapes and forms which can be seen throughout the Explore theme world. This playground is divided into two main play zones. The first play zone consists of the Zulu play structure, which creates an impressive focal point on the playground and invites children to be adventurous, climb, slide and use their imagination to create a story. The play panels on the lower half of the play structure, allows the younger children to interact with the space, while the older children (ages 6+) can enjoy features such as the impressive tube slide. The combination of the beige and green colour palette complements the natural surroundings, while small details such as the leaves above the steel beams, echos the greenery around the play system. The second play zone is tucked away among the surrounding trees, and includes some of LEDONs most popular play equipment, such as the Offroader, Bing springer and the Dino slide which is always a hit among the younger children. Each piece of playground equipment has been carefully selected to create a cohesive and inviting play universe. Trenevej, Sønderborg Playgrounds that complement each other The housing association B42 wanted to renew their two nearby playgrounds. As they are within walking distance of each other, it was decided that one should be more adapted to the little ones, while the one on Trenevej should focus on the older children. At the same time, it was necessary to take the space into account. The housing association wanted to preserve some of the grass so that the residents could play ball, kubb, etc. The solution was playground equipment at one end of the green area with a table and bench set in the middle, so that one can keep an eye on both the playground and ball games. The play equipment is from the LEDON Explore and LEDON Basic series. They provide a playground that offers play activities for everyone, just as the natural colors of the series blend in well with the surroundings. The children benefit from classic equipment such as swings, playhouse, see-saw and a play system with one of the children’s favourites, namely the slide. In addition, they can train their balance on one of our obstacle courses, which is a fun challenge for older children. When two playgrounds are in the same area, we always take this into account in the design. The customers might have different wishes, but the vast majority prefer, like the housing association B42, that the two playgrounds complement each other instead of being the same. Solutions with variety ensure that the children have versatile experiences, and their benefit from the value of play and natural development is thus greater. The play system is specially designed without a hut. The standard version is shown in the product overview.
Haveløkken, Odense A playground for everyone in the area to enjoy The homeowners’ association Haveløkken wanted to renew their playground on the green area in the middle of their street. The playground is well-visited by both day care institutions and children in the area – and therefore there were many who could benefit from a new playground. This was also one of the reasons why the municipality chose to support the construction of the playground when the homeowners’ association applied for help in financing the project. With extra money, they were able to realize their dream of a playground full of play activities for both big and small children. The playground was designed with play equipment from our LEDON Basic and LEDON Explore series. From Basic, they got a play system that has a special focus on challenging the children’s gross motor skills with lots of climbing opportunities, while the play system from Explore is perfect for role-play when the children go exploring or make sand cakes in the kitchen. To make room for the many visiting children, the homeowners’ association chose a modular swing frame and a somersault bar as extra activities. In this way, they achieved a spacious playground that invites all the children in the area to play.
BørneUniverset, Hobro A complete solution for BørneUniverset’s many outdoor areas The newly built day care institution BørneUniverset needed playgrounds for all their outdoor areas. Gjern Børnehus A motorically challenging play system for older children at kindergartens The kindergarten Gjern Børnehus has renewed its playground with the Benja play system from the Basic series. The kindergarten wanted a play system that would appeal in particular to the older children at the institution while also blending in with the surroundings. With floor heights of 140 cm and 190 cm, as well as a climbing wall panel, climbing net and sliding poles, the Benja play system challenges children’s gross motor development in particular. The sliding poles are an extra challenging slide that calls for balance, coordination and strength for children to succeed. Developing children’s gross motor skills and balance is fundamental to their further development, including learning to walk, run and cycle. Moreover, when climbing, children make cross-lateral movements with their arms and legs, which strengthens the connection between the right and left sides of their brain. This is essential for learning to read. The left side of the brain sees each individual letter, while the right side puts the letters together to form words and sentences.
