Jomfru Ellens Vej, Karise

Fun play activities for all ages

At Jomfru Ellens Vej in Karise on southern Zealand, Faxe and Hylleholt Housing Association has a new playground. The old one needed renewing, and the housing association wanted a new playground that would appeal to children of all ages.

The solution was to have a wide range of play equipment to ensure activities for all age groups. Much of the playground equipment comes from the LEDON Basic series. This series comprises a range of equipment which is designed for children aged 2 to 12. The series was therefore the right choice for the housing association.

The swings and the Bjork play tower are designed for older children. Bjork’s high climbing wall panel and sliding poles challenge the children motorically, which is good for the older children who are already physically adept. Younger children can try the springer and whizz down the parrot slide, while the mini swing is perfect for toddlers.

Susan Rolvung, a member of the resident’s association, is convinced that the right play equipment has been chosen. She says:

Our collaboration with LEDON has gone well. We are very pleased with the playground and especially the playground consultant, who listened very carefully to our wishes. Despite our many requirements, we now have a wonderful playground, and one that children love playing on.

DjursBO, Ebeltoft

A fun playground without bothersome noise

DjursBO, a housing association in Ebeltoft, Jutland, has a new and exciting playground on one of their estates. The playground is located between two rows of houses, and DjursBO therefore had some specific wishes regarding its design. Having found in the past that the noise of children playing on high play equipment would tend to echo and create annoying reverberations, they wanted a playground that was basically lower.

The solution was an obstacle course from our LEDON Basic series as well as two trampolines and a somersault bar. These are all pieces of play equipment that children love, and at the same time they are close to the ground. They were placed one after the other to create a natural sequence of activities.

With a carefully designed solution and a sensible layout, we made it possible to put together a complete playground with a high level of play value for children of all ages – and which does not cause inconvenience for the surrounding houses. Residents can now enjoy the playground instead of worrying about how much noise it generates.

Dalgårdsparken, Faxe

Traditional playground with budget-friendly play equipment

Dalgårdsparken, a housing association department in Faxe on southern Zealand, has updated their playground, adding several new pieces of play equipment. Faxe and Hylleholt Housing Association, which was responsible for the project, wanted a traditional playground with many different pieces of play equipment. At the same time, a budget-friendly solution was required, so the housing association’s funds would stretch as far as possible.

To fulfil these wishes, we supplied a seesaw, a springer and a playhouse from our LEDON Basic series. They are all classic pieces of play equipment which children adore. Moreover, the Basic series is our most budget-friendly series, so your money goes that bit further. To complete the playground, the housing association chose a slide from the LEDON Explore theme world. The parrot slide is safe and easy to use thanks to the non-slip steps, and therefore also suitable for smaller children.

In this way, we have successfully created a complete playground at Dalgårdsparken which local children can use and enjoy for many years.

Familieforeningen Kalundborg

A large playground for bringing children and adults together

In Kalundborg on Zealand, a place has been created for young families living in the city to gather. Thanks to the family association Familiehjørnet Kalundborg and the ‘get it fixed’ funding pool from the Municipality of Kalundborg, a dream of having a large playground is now a reality.

The playground features play equipment from several of our theme worlds, so there is something for every age group. The association liked the play equipment from our LEDON MiniPlay series in particular. Laura Deigaard Sørensen, anchorperson for the association, says:

We chose LEDON because we think their equipment matched our wish for a playground that caters for the youngest children, and because they managed to create a coherent solution that made a lot of sense to us. The play equipment appeals to the children with its sweet designs and colours, and stimulates their imagination, motor skills and creativity.

Laura Deigaard Sørensen, Foreningen Familiehjørnet

It was a huge project, and the playground was therefore officially inaugurated by the Mayor of Kalundborg, Martin Damm, with speeches from several stakeholders before Nova, aged 5, helped cut the red ribbon. The playground is now ready to welcome local children and adults as well as visitors.

Laura Deigaard Sørensen has no doubts they now have their dream playground. Commenting on the playground and our collaboration, she says:

Our collaboration with LEDON has been excellent from start to finish. Our communication with LEDON has been good, and they have been very service-minded. LEDON’s consultants were good at listening and understood our needs and wishes regarding the playground design, so that at the end of the day we have a playground that fulfils all our dreams. In addition, all deadlines were met, and they delivered on all counts.

Ringkøbing-Skjern Housing Association

Budget-friendly and high quality

In one of the areas managed by Ringkøbing-Skjern Housing Association, local children enjoy the new play equipment that has been added to their playground. With a springer and the Benja play system, there are play activities for children of all ages.

The housing association wanted to enhance the play value of their playground, but it had to be done within a limited budget. Consequently, the choice fell on LEDON Basic, which is our most budget-friendly series, and which gives you slightly more for your money. The play equipment is the same high quality as all our other equipment, but because we have optimised our internal processes and material consumption, the prices are particularly competitive.

As a result, the youngest residents in the area can now enjoy the excitement of Benja, which is a two-tower system with lots of challenges for keen climbers. Boasting a climbing wall panel, a large climbing net and sliding poles, the system has something to offer for everyone. Even the smallest children will love Benja, as one tower is equipped with a play panel at the bottom. Here, there is a small counter and a play panel, where young children can engage in cooperative play, such as playing shop.

Vindinggård homeowners’ association, Vejle

No rot or decay with a low-maintenance play system

The homeowners’ association Vindinggård needed to replace its old wooden play system, and they were keen for their new system to require only a bare minimum of maintenance.

All our play equipment is made from polyethylene, a low-maintenance and recyclable material. It is very durable and can withstand fluctuating temperatures as well as all kinds of weather. We offer a life-time warranty on our polyethylene, because we know from experience that it lasts. Therefore, it was also the right choice for Vindinggård homeowners’ association. Read more about the many advantages of low-maintenance materials under quality materials.

The homeowners’ association’s new play system is Brody from our LEDON Basic series. For this series, we have designed high-quality play equipment which is attractively priced thanks to our optimised internal processes and material consumption. The play value is still second to none, and children will therefore enjoy spending many hours on Brody.

Brombærvænget, Kolding

Play equipment that can be adapted to any area

The homeowners’ association Blaabærvej wanted to add play value to their communal green area, which everyone in the neighbourhood enjoys using. The size of the area to some extent determined which play equipment to have in the playground. The lawned area already had a football pitch on one side, so the new equipment had to fit into an oblong area on the other.

The choice therefore fell on our straight obstacle course from LEDON Basic, which was a perfect fit for the available space. Also, the balance equipment only requires grass as a safety surface, and the obstacle course could therefore be mounted directly on the grass. As could the Butterfly seesaw, which has also been beautifully integrated into the playground.

The swings and somersault bar, which are sure hits with children, complete the area. The wide range of play equipment ensures that the playground is inviting and fun for different age groups. All the local children can therefore have fun in the challenging and entertaining playground.

L3010

Twice the fun with a crawl and a slide

Our slide with a rope ladder adds an extra physical challenge for children. Climbing up a rope ladder demands gross motor skills of a certain level. Children must have the required strength and coordination to reach the top before they can enjoy the thrill of going down the slide.

Climbing is very beneficial for children’s bodies and minds. When climbing, they use their memory, visualisation and problem-solving skills to make their way up the rope ladder. In addition, they use and strengthen their gross motor skills with every go on the slide.

The slide comes in two different colour versions – a classic red and blue combination and a more neutral green and brown. This ensures that there is always one to meet your needs.

Obstacle courses in different shapes

Does a low-maintenance obstacle course that can be mounted directly on the ground sound like something for you? Then the obstacle courses in the LEDON Basic series are a good start.

Our figure eight shaped obstacle course is our biggest obstacle course in which you get all of our balance equipment constructed in the most favoured shape. The figure eight shape is popular amongst the children, as they get multiple ways around the course as well as plenty of room for several children to play together at the same time. This makes the games on the obstacle course even more fun and exciting.

When children are balancing on the course and play games such as tag and ‘the floor is made of lava’, their cerebellum is exercised. The cerebellum controls the muscle strength used when children, for example, hold a pen or lift a glass of water. A game like tag also improves the children’s spatial awareness, as they must constantly keep an eye on the one catching them and where they have to go next.

The sky’s the limit

The obstacle courses can be constructed in countless ways to fit your exact needs and price range. You can use our composite obstacle courses as inspiration or suggestions for your own dream course. It is also possible to buy the package deals as they are, or change single elements, if you should want that. Like the rest of the LEDON Basic series, the balance equipment is made of recyclable materials and is optimized, which ensures a competitive price.

Why choose LEDON basic?

  • All the basic elements you need for a good-quality budget-priced playground.
  • Compact towers, which require little space.
  • The systems are available in a wide range of variants to meet any need.
  • Providing basic motor challenges is paramount – it is also a playground for older children.
  • Can be easily integrated into both existing play environments or combined with our other theme worlds.

Our straight obstacle course is very versatile, as it can be bent in any direction, which makes it easy to incorporate into an already existing playground. The straight course is also ideal if the children want to compete to see who is the fastest, especially if you have two parallel courses.
