Play system with many age-appropriate activities

The Elaine play system is one of the more asymmetric and quirky structures in the Castle series and thus designed for differently structured types of play, for example thanks to the prison suspended between the two towers. The hanging prison is a hot favourite with children as a place to play hide-and-seek or for exchanging secrets and telling tall tales. The first tower has two steps, with the first 40 cm above ground level, ensuring that children of all ages can have a go on the tube slide. With a starting height of 90 cm and integrated windows that let in the light, all age groups can join in the fun. There is also the option of the open slide, seeing what’s in the treasure chest, looking out from the lookout barrel, or testing your balance on the swaying suspension bridge.

Unsteady ground beneath your feet

Elaine has both a hanging prison and a jungle bridge. The jungle bridge demands balance and concentration, while stimulating children’s gross motor skills. Standing in the tall tower, children can steer their imaginary vessel to the far corners of the Earth with the ship’s wheel. The wheel moves the rotating sword on the outside of the play panel. Afterwards, a thrilling ride awaits down the slide, bringing smiles to children’s faces while introducing them to gravity and making them adept at assessing distance and speed.

Play on two levels

The Troy play environment provides fun and games on two levels. Up top, one tower boasts a ship’s wheel, which when turned rotates the sword in the middle of the knight’s shield on the other side. Troy also has a lookout barrel with a movable telescope, which sets the scene for role-play over longer distances. At ground level is the treasure chest panel to inspire role-play, while at the same time training hand-eye coordination when the sliding diamond and rat are moved. There is also the ball panel for play involving numbers and coordination.

Troy is basically a maintenance-free play system that guarantees many hours of fun.

It’s all go on LEDON’s tube slide

Troy also boasts one of LEDON’s popular tube slides. The tube slide will bring smiles to the children’s excited faces, while also helping them to assess distance and speed. The windows in the tunnel provide ample light. Troy’s floor height of 140 cm guarantees high-speed action on the slides.

A play tower for children large and small

Dagonet is the perfect choice for playgrounds where several age groups play together. At ground level children will discover the treasure chest, but does the key fit? And what is the hidden treasure? The treasure chest has several movable parts and is designed to encourage role-play, while also stimulating children’s fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Skilled climbers can scale the vertical climbing wall panel to reach the platforms. Or you can use the steps before crossing the swaying suspension bridge. From here, children can whizz down the tube slide.

Role-play is important for children’s development

The unique symbols and activities of the LEDON Castle series are, of course, also featured in the Dagonet play environment. The illusion of being in a real knight’s castle is complete with the knight’s shield. With its rotating sword à la ‘spin the bottle’, it is sure to spark children’s imagination. In their imagination and during role-play, children try out situations which they might not otherwise have dared or been able to do in real life. Role-play is therefore important when it comes to processing feelings. Role-play strengthens many different abilities, including children’s imagination and creativity, while teaching them social rules as well as how to compromise, negotiate and resolve conflicts.

Motor challenges for all ages

Lynette features non-slip steps and a climbing wall panel for accessing the platforms. It takes both balance and coordination to cross the swaying bridge between the two towers. Cross-coordination is required when both sides of the brain have to work together, for example when learning to read and write. The Lynette play environment is full of motor challenges for young children at all stages of development.

Fun and games and motor challenges

Lynette is a play system offering lots of play and challenges. Featuring a slide, a climbing panel and a lookout barrel with a movable telescope, Lynette sets the scene for many hours of fun in the playground. Who’s going to the hanging prison?

The Uther play system features a wealth of different play activities. In addition to its two slides, Uther also includes the popular hanging prison with rubber slats – a place where children love to hide and tell tales to one another. From the coloured window panel on one of the towers, you can keep an eye on the imprisoned bandits, while the ship’s wheel and the suspension bridge will come in handy on imaginative journeys out to sea.

A play system for all ages

Children of all ages can access the maintenance-free play system using either the steps or the rope ladder. All models in the Castle series feature non-slip floors, ensuring that children have a safe surface to play on, even in the pouring rain.

A model with motor challenges

All LEDON Castle models are similarly themed, but incorporate different activities depending on the model. The George play environment is designed, in particular, for children wanting many physical challenges in a limited space. The George play system requires an area of 6.5 x 6.3 metres. The play environment is primarily designed for 5 to 7-year-olds. At the same time, younger children are able to play and hide in the hanging prison, where movable keys and rubber slats inspire many hours of fun and games.

Climbing wall panel and rope tunnel stimulate learning abilities

Children reach the tower via a climbing wall panel or the large rope tunnel. Extensive cross-coordination is needed as children have to use their arm and leg muscles simultaneously. Cross-coordination stimulates neural activity between the two sides of the brain, which is very important for children’s learning abilities, for example when learning to read or do maths.

Lancelot is your LEDON Castle basic model

Our Castle series offers play equipment for every requirement. Lancelot is the basic model, which is designed for challenges as well as fun. The short rope ladder extends up to the tower, which has a floor height of 90 cm, from where you can whizz down the slide. The transparent panes in the roof create coloured patterns on the floor and the surrounding ground, inspiring games such as ‘the floor is lava’, hopscotch or even a dance routine.

Lancelot is ideal for small areas

Using imitation fieldstones, torches and raw boards, we have created a convincing impression of being on a real knight’s castle. Beneath the floor is a panel where diamonds can be hidden and found, activities that strengthen children’s fine motor skills, creativity and cognitive abilities. Lancelot is suitable for playgrounds where space is limited – all it requires is an area of 6.2 x 4.2 metres.

The Guinevere model comprises a small play tower in the LEDON Castle series, offering fun, play and development for children of different ages. Toddlers can easily access the play tower via the steps, and everyone can whizz down the slide. When children use slides, they train their gross motor skills and balance, while at the same time becoming familiar with gravity.

A model that stimulates children’s motor, social and language development

The hanging prison is guaranteed to spark children’s imagination and encourage lots of role-play and games. The rubber slats function as a door between the inside and the outside, while also stimulating the children’s sense of touch. On the key panel, a key is pushed into several positions, while there are clear views through the prison bars. The light passing through the coloured transparent roof panes is cast onto the floor and ground, inspiring various games, such as ‘the floor is lava’.

Transparent coloured panels spark children’s imagination

Galahad is a small play environment with many activities

Galahad sparks children’s imagination. With a rotating ship’s wheel and telescope on the lookout barrel, the stage is set for hours of role-play, even taking in the far corners of the playground. The non-slip steps allow even the youngest children to climb up safely. Children invent their own games

One of the main advantages of the LEDON Castle series is all the different activities that set the scene for children’s play while giving them the opportunity to pursue their own ideas.
