Parc de la baume

Children of all ages can now explore the jungle in the park

The Arkon three-tower play system sits in a beautiful area surrounded by trees. The play system comes from our Explore series, and blends in perfectly with the surroundings thanks to its natural colours.

Arkon boasts lots of fun activities for children of all ages. The little ones can play hide and seek in the jungle hut, or try whizzing down the tube slide, which has a low start height. Meanwhile, the older children can test their motor skills by crossing the jungle bridge to the high tower, from where they can whoosh down at full speed.

When developing play equipment, we always involve children in the design process. They provide input and ideas which adults would never come up with. This means that we can feel confident that children will find our finished products fun. Would you like to know more about how we ensure that our play equipment helps to support children’s development? If so, please read How do we co-develop our products together with children?

Camping Mer et Montagne

A fun and safe place for young explorers

The campsite Mer et Montagne wanted more activities for holidaymakers – especially the youngest. The choice fell on Suri, one of the smaller systems in the Explore series. With a low floor height and easy ramp, the play system is ideal for children as young as 2. The springers and Suri’s jungle hut also help to emphasise the series’ thematic explorers universe and contribute to the children’s imaginative play.

LEDON Explore is one of our most popular series with adults, and in particular with the children who play on it. We know this because it was co-created and co-designed with children. The series is suitable for a wide age group, and comprises an extensive selection of play equipment that can be combined to create complete playgrounds. If you would like more information, please refer to our Explore page.

Arriaga

A playground that withstands both the sun and heat

Under the warm Spanish skies stands a large Explore system together with one of our modular swing sets and a springer to complete the playground. At this public playground, a colourful rubber surface has been chosen which catches the children’s attention, while also demarcating the play area. At the same time, the surface complements the neutral beige and green colours of the Explore system.

The play system and the springer are both made from low-maintenance polyethylene, which is extremely durable and resistant to the sun and the heat. The polyethylene is UV-stabilised, so the beautiful colours are protected against significant fading for many years. Moreover, the polyethylene does not get burning hot in high temperatures. Children therefore do not have to worry about burning themselves, neither on the slide, nor when touching any of the moving parts, or when crawling around the system. Thus, the material is extremely suitable for playgrounds in a country like Spain.

The play system is a discontinued model and therefore does not appear in the product overview.

Parque Urbano Dr. Luís César Pereira

The big Explore playground is built in one of Portugal’s many green parks in the Vila Franca de Xira area. The park is visited daily by a lot of families with children. The vision was to create a project, which functioned as a meeting space for families in the area. Simultaneously, the playground had to fit into the green area and pique children’s interest, with among other things the colorful rubber ground.

AAB Skive

In 2019, AAB in Skive changed their playground into a new low maintenance Explore playground. It was very important for the housing association that the playground did not demand much maintenance and fit into the park’s green environment. This is why the theme world Explore was chosen. The play structure is one of the series most popular ones, which especially is due to the big spiral tube slide that gives loads of thrills and laughter.

We have appreciated the close collaboration we have had with Pia and LEDON. We have gotten professional advice and guidance and a solution that fit us perfectly. We will certainly recommend LEDON to other housing associations, who needs new playgrounds.

Tommy, AAB’s caretaker

Trygfondens familiehus, Aarhus

The playground for Trygfonden’s house was a special project to create a haven for children with cancer. The playground is established with a small play tower, with easy access via the rubber ground, the Explore Off-roader, and the butterfly seesaw. Playing can help the children forget about their sickness, but it is also crucial for children’s understanding of their sickness and help them handle it.

The play system is specially designed with stairs. The standard version is shown in the product overview.

Markskellet, Randers

In spring 2020, Marskellet in Randers got a new playground. The playground replaced the association’s previous wooden playground.

The board chose the play structure Lumka because it has both sliding and climbing activities. The play tower also has the popular swinging jungle hut, which is a big hit with many children.

Besides the play structure, the playground also has two springers. The elephant for the smallest children and the bird for the bigger ones.

Hallingparken, Brøndby

In 2019, Hallingparken in Brøndby wanted to change their old playground to a more contemporary and maintenance-free one. The most important thing for the housing association Brøndby Strand was that the children found it fun, which is why they were allowed to vote on the playground they wanted the most.

The children went with a big Castle playground that has room for children of all ages. LEDON Castle is one of LEDON’s theme worlds, where brave princes and princess’ can unleash their imagination on the castle’s many towers and activities.

Nattergalvej, Randers

On Nattergalvej 4 in Randers, a new Explore playground was constructed. It included the play structure Lumka and an Explore swing set with two seats.

The housing association wanted to change the playground to a maintenance-free one, which does not take up time or money for maintenance. They also wanted a color-scheme for the playground that matched the association’s green area.

Grundejerforeningen Ærtebjerggaard, Odense

The new playground requires low maintenance

Homeowners’ association Ærtebjerggård has gotten a new Explore playground in one of the association’s green areas.

It is important for the board to have a playground, which fits naturally in the green areas and at the same time only requires low maintenance.

With both the Virok play structure, the Off-roader, and a swing set, the playground targets a wide age-group. Daycares and kindergartens from the area also enjoy the playground.

Michael Mortensen, who is chairman of the homeowners’ association, has no doubt what the choice of LEDON as a playground supplier has meant:

We have been very pleased working with LEDON. They have been very professional throughout the entire process. It was a great help with the design proposals, in order to see how the playground could look like. We would with pleasure recommend LEDON to other homeowners’ associations.
