Description

Jonas challenges motor skills and balance

Jonas is one of the charming two-tower play environments in MiniPlay. Thanks to its size and the number of play activities, it accommodates up to 10-12 children. The children can access the play environment using the traditional stairway with low steps and handgrips or via the crawling ramp. The crawling ramp has steps which can be used for holding onto and crawling up, or – even harder – walking up and keeping your balance. The bridge not only connects the two towers – children can use it as a place to pause and observe their surroundings through the window, or play hide-and-seek. Go on the slide and feel the rush of excitement, or see the world from a new perspective through the dome window in the tree top.

Play panel for fiddly fingers

Like the rest of the MiniPlay family, Jonas is designed to support children’s motor skill development from about six months and up to four years. One of the really exciting play panels is the car/bee panel. On the outside of the panel is a beehive and a moving bee, which flies from flower to hive. The height and the meandering track both challenge children’s fine motor skills and their sense of movement.

The other side of the panel resembles the view from a car driver’s seat with a key, steering wheel, gears and a ‘speed’ control, represented by a tortoise and a hare. The key hangs from a galvanised metal chain, which stimulates the senses and fine motor skills, and makes this panel perfect for little fiddly fingers.

1/10

Non-slip surface

A 3 mm rubber coating ensures a firm footing for children, even when it is raining and in frosty weather.

2/10

Galvanised and lacquered posts

The posts are powder-coated in beautiful colours to match our theme worlds while also being protected from rust by hot-dip galvanising.

3/10

Easy access for all children

The play systems are easy to access either from the ground, via a crawling ramp or stairs. In this way, all children can participate.

4/10

Low floor height for a sense of security

The floor height is such that an adult can easily stand next to and support children while they are playing, and thus ensure that the children feel safe when exploring the play activities.

5/10

Non-toxic and recyclable polyethylene

The polyethylene boards are 100% recyclable, and contain no hazardous chemicals. They are approved according to the specific requirements of both the EU Toy Safety Directive EN 71 and the US Food Directive.

6/10

Develops fine motor skills

The many moving parts support the development of children’s fine motor skills. Through the stimulation of their fine motor skills, children learn to make small precise movements which, among other things, make it easier for them to hold and control a pencil.

7/10

Impact-resistant polycarbonate

Transparent polycarbonate adds extra fun for children as they see the world anew through the windows and domes. Polycarbonate is extremely impact-resistant, whatever the temperature. The material is also UV-protected to prevent the boards from fading when exposed to sunlight.

8/10

Cause and effect

Interacting with the movement of the play equipment makes children more aware of the relationship between cause and effect. This is an important part of supporting their logical sense.

9/10

No burnt fingers on sunny days

The slides are made of polyethylene, which is heat-resistant and therefore does not get too hot to touch in the sunshine.

10/10

A healthy imagination results in better problem-solving

Every function and detail on the play equipment trigger the children’s creativity when playing. Imaginative and creative play is good for children as it strengthens their ability to be flexible and creative in their problem-solving.
