Yugo is an inclusive carousel which is specially designed to also take wheelchair users. The carousel has six seats and space for three wheelchairs – so a whole group of children can have a ride together. Yugo is perfect for playgrounds that focus on being more inclusive.
High speed and lots of movement is good for children’s vestibular sense, which plays a crucial role in their development. A strong vestibular sense helps to improve children’s motor skills, language and concentration. Carousels also promote cooperative play. If several children want to have a ride together, they all need to agree on the speed and direction of the carousel and when to stop. This is a good exercise for training children’s social skills.
Yugo has a smart locking system that prevents the carousel from turning until all the small gates are closed. When the ride is over, the gates can be opened by pulling a handle. This guarantees a safe carousel experience for all.
