Description

The LEDON Castle model for large playgrounds

Featuring four towers, Tristan is one of the biggest models by far in the LEDON Castle series. It requires a large area of approx. 12 x 12 metres, but in return offers infinite play opportunities for children of all ages. The knight’s castle is divided into zones, so that children of different ages can play simultaneously on different activities without disturbing each other. Tristan offers a wide range of age-appropriate activities designed to support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, motor and, not least, physical development.

A knight must pass his tests

A sensory swing, hanging prison, rope tunnel, slides and swaying and sloping bridges guarantee hours of play and fun. All the towers are designed with non-slip platforms, and so are ideal places to catch your breath. Tristan also features a lookout barrel, telescope, treasure chests, and many movable parts designed to stimulate children’s fine motor skills. The climbing wall panel tests children’s gross motor skills and cross-coordination – cross-body movements involving both the arms and legs are important for a child’s natural development. It helps to stimulate neural activity between the two sides of the brain, which in turn strengthens the child’s learning abilities, for example when learning to read and write.

Why choose LEDON Castle?

  • Eye-catching play systems that spark the curiosity and interest of children and adults alike.
  • The Castle universe supports role-play for both princesses and princes: social rules, negotiating and understanding the social hierarchy.

1/10

Galvanised and lacquered posts

The posts are powder-coated in beautiful colours to match our theme worlds while also being protected from rust by hot-dip galvanising.

2/10

Non-toxic and recyclable polyethylene

The polyethylene boards are 100% recyclable, and contain no hazardous chemicals. They are approved according to the specific requirements of both the EU Toy Safety Directive EN 71 and the US Food Directive.

3/10

Sparks children’s curiosity

The innovative design of the play systems sparks children’s curiosity from a distance with pointed towers and ruby-red roofs.

4/10

Security and sense of calm

Children love hiding places that make them feel secure and offer quiet moments to talk and share secrets. Also, children from many different age groups use hiding places as part of their play.

5/10

Strengthens gross motor skills

Children use their major muscle groups and strengthen their gross motor skills when playing on the play equipment. Gross motor skills are vital for both their basic motor development as well as their fine motor skills.

6/10

Role-play

Children love role-play. It improves their understanding of themselves and their surroundings, because by imitating the world around them, they learn more about patterns of behaviour, social interaction and handling emotions.

7/10

Cause and effect

Interacting with the movement of the play equipment makes children more aware of the relationship between cause and effect. This is an important part of supporting their logical sense.

8/10

Social and language skills

The play equipment offers ample opportunities for children to engage in cooperative play. It grows their social and language skills, which is key to developing relationships and friendships.

9/10

Play zones for several age groups

With multiple play zones, the play equipment accommodates different play activities and a wide age group while also allowing several children to play at the same time without disturbing each other.

10/10

Both sides of the brain work together

Making cross-lateral movements with your arms and legs strengthens coordination between the right and left sides of the brain. This is important for children when starting to learn to read and write.
