LP190

The creepy cave

A real pirate universe has a cave with hidden treasure. This can also be found in the LEDON Pirates series. However, the cave is not so frightening that it will prevent even the youngest pirate from exploring and searching for the treasure. You can also climb to the first floor where you can look out for pirate ships or pirate friends through the movable telescope. When children climb, they perform cross-body movements which stimulate neural activity between both sides of the brain, and this helps them to learn to read and write.

Why choose LEDON Pirates?

  • The play activities at the pirate playground are 100% inspired by children and based on children’s ideas about pirate-themed play activities.
  • In Pirates, several innovative play activities have been designed that stimulate role-play, social interaction and physical play, for example the wobbly plank.
  • The ships are available in many different price classes, and new elements can easily be added to the universe.
  • The pirate ships are divided into zones so that several age groups can play at the same time without disturbing each other.

LP323

A real play-packed pirate universe

Hafnia is one of our large ships which we have made more inclusive. The ships of this size are real pirate universes, with too many activities to list them all here. Apart from the many movable parts, which can also be found on the smaller pirate ships: ship’s wheel, compass, anchor, rubber hatches, telescope etc., on the large pirate ships, children can also play in the captain’s cabin, where there is a treasure map, dungeon, diamonds, rubber hatches, the moving crab and many other play activities.

There are large windows on both sides of the cabin so that adults can keep an eye on activities without disturbing the children. This size of pirate ship includes the beautiful mast with the parrot, and which really underlines the design of the pirate ship.

An inclusive pirate ship

Hafnia is more inclusive, as it is important to be able to create playgrounds where everyone can join in. Among other things, Hafnia features side openings that make it easy for wheelchair users and people with impaired mobility to get on board the ship. Also, the ship is without the large climbing net at the stern, so the captain’s cabin is more accessible. All play activities are placed at different heights, ensuring it is always possible to play regardless of mobility and ability.

More inclusive play equipment can be found here, where you can read how to best create an inclusive playground.

LP111

A small ship offering hours of adventurous fun

The pirate ship Ofelia is one of the smallest ships in the series together with LP110 Leopold and LP113 Christian. These three smaller ships provide the most basic play activities in a limited area of space. Ofelia requires an area measuring only 7.2 x 4.7 metres.

The compact ships have numerous moving parts: an anchor, keys, diamond panel, rubber slats and the ship’s wheel on the deck. The moving parts stimulate children’s imagination and initiate role-play.

The rubber slats have a special membrane with several layers of microfibre, which makes the material incredibly strong and safeguards against vandalism.

Set sail for all ages

One of the main features of the pirate ship Ofelia is the steps to the upper deck. The steps allow children as young as two or three to climb up to the top deck and enjoy views across the playground. The ‘galleon’ windows at the back of the ship are made of polycarbonate, which casts colours on the deck and ground in bright sunshine. Polycarbonate is extremely strong, and withstands all weather conditions.

Like the rest of the Pirates series, Ofelia is 100% maintenance-free and reusable.

LP411

A dreamland for young pirates

Olympia is one of the three biggest ships in the Pirates series. All three ships are packed with play activities, but vary in terms of the slide option. The pirate ship Olympia is designed without a slide, while LP413 Atlantic has an open slide from a height of 90 cm and LP415 Alexandrina has a tube slide from a height of 190 cm.

These large pirate ships are a dreamland for all young pirates, and when they are this big they can accommodate a lot of children. There are countless play activities, for example all the moving parts such as the two ship’s wheels, compass, anchor, bell, rubber slats, telescope, keys and so on. In the Captain’s cabin you will find the treasure chest, dungeon, diamond panel, rubber slats, the movable crab, the underwater dome and many other activities.

The big windows on each side of the cabin allow adults to keep an eye without disturbing the children engrossed in their play. In the bow you will find the telescope, treasure chest and the cargo room, which can be accessed through the rubber slats. The two large masts with the parrot really emphasise the design of the pirate ship.

A pirate ship with a high ceiling

The biggest pirate ships give you two aft decks, one with a floor height of 90 cm and the other 190 cm. On the lower aft deck you can ring the bell or look out for land through the movable telescope mounted on the lookout barrel. The upper aft deck is accessed via the climbing wall panel or by scaling the large climbing net at the stern. When children climb, they perform cross-body movements which stimulate neural activity between both sides of the brain, and this helps them to learn to read and write. On the upper aft deck you can steer the pirate ship with the movable ship’s wheel or look at the lantern, which lights up when the sun shines through shockproof polycarbonate. You can read more about the four zones on the pirate ships and all the play activities here.

Gabriel is one of the four medium-sized ships in the Pirates series together with LP120 Halifax, LP121 Falcon and LP123 Nathalie. In addition to the tube slide, Gabriel boasts many other play activities. In the bow you can look out for land through the telescope, which tilts and turns. You can also raise the anchor or control the movable compass or balance on the wobbly plank. The spring under the plank adds an extra challenge and a fun element to the pirate ship.
