MP350 Filippa is a play mecca for the youngest Filippa is one of the largest play environments in MiniPlay, quite apart from Astrid and Jonathan, which is by far the biggest play system. Filippa is a good size and accommodates many children at the same time. It will fulfil every toddler’s dreams for a playground, for example a shop where everything can be bought over the counter or passed through the rubber ‘goods-in’ hatch. There is even a working bell. The sloping bridge trains motor skills and balance, while the world can be seen in a completely new perspective through the butterfly’s coloured wings, which light up in the sunshine. Children can also enjoy the sense of excitement in launching themselves down the slide, which will also make them feel confident with gravity and teach them about distance and speed. Memory game for all ages Filippa is packed with turning, spinning and moving features – among other things the moving flowers, butterflies and bees, which exercise children’s fine motor skills while also serving as topics for discussion and language training. One play panel which is particularly good at encouraging children to talk and for language training is the memory game. The four creatures represent different colours; the bottom two creatures crawl, and the top two fly. This soon prompts exchanges about animals and colours, and guessing where the creatures have hidden. At the same time, the game exercises the children’s fine motor skills and language skills. MP450 Jonathan – the ultimate play universe Jonathan is the ultimate play mecca for tiny tots! Here, up to 20-25 children can play together in the huge play system with four towers. All the activities have been developed in collaboration with children and childcare professionals, so we know that children derive huge enjoyment from the system while their natural development is also being supported at the same time. The activities on Jonathan include the fiddly finger panel, which is designed as the view from a driver’s seat with a key, steering wheel, gears and a ‘speed’ control, represented by a tortoise and a hare. The panel is designed to stimulate children’s senses as well as their fine motor skills. Activities also include a slide, windows and domes, where children can see their surroundings in a completely new perspective, horizontal and sloping bridges to stimulate motor skills and balance, and a ‘mood panel’ to encourage deeper discussions about how the child is feeling based on the iconic faces. Finally, there is a sand panel and a small shop, where the little handle controls the bell, while the ‘goods-in’ hatch is opened by firmly gripping the yellow knob. The shop also encourages role-play, with all sorts of sand cakes, teddy bears and other toys being passed across the counter. The shop is always located at a low height, so it’s easy for the children to play together and swap places. Everything is designed to support the child’s natural development. Why is MiniPlay the best playground for young children? In designing LEDON MiniPlay, special focus was on incorporating age-appropriate activities and features that develop children’s motor skills. This has been possible because we spent an entire year developing, testing and tailoring activities together with children and childcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and physiotherapists. As a result, MiniPlay is geared to the youngest children, and all the activities are designed to support children’s natural development, including their gross and fine motor skills, cross-coordination, linguistic, social and emotional development as well as logical and abstract thinking. In the MiniPlay universe, children learn to express themselves and their wonderment, interact with others, practise their first words, handle their first conflicts, as well as establish their first friendships and learn about basic social relations. The structures are designed to support the child’s motor skills from about six months and up to four years. Why choose LEDON MiniPlay? MP110 MiniPlay for the sandpit MiniPlay’s small Noa play environment is specially designed for sandpit-based activities. With its very low, non-slip floor, even the youngest tots and toddlers can join in the fun. There are sand chutes on the outside and a yellow box for transporting the sand. In addition to the chutes, the moving flowers, butterflies and bees also allow children to train their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Want to go shopping? On the opposite side is the shop, the baker or the school – depending entirely on where your imagination takes you. The small handle controls the bell, while the ‘goods-in’ hatch is opened by firmly gripping the small yellow knob: Both features strengthen motor skills, and also encourage role-play, with all sorts of sand cakes, teddy bears and other toys being passed across the counter. Social interaction and play at its best. The children are kept busy interacting and negotiating, while acting out episodes from their daily lives. The shop is always placed at a low height, enabling shopkeepers and shoppers to communicate easily with each other and swap places. MP250 Want to go shopping? Olivia is one of the two-tower play environments in the MiniPlay universe. The play environment accommodates up to 10-12 children, who are guaranteed heaps of fun romping and charging about in the exciting surroundings. Among other things, Olivia features the popular shop. The small handle is used to sound the bell, while ‘goods-in’ are received through the rubber hatch – both of which help develop children’s motor skills and encourage role-play. In the small shop, the sky is the limit in terms of what can be served over the counter: Toys, teddies, sand cakes – endless possibilities. Through role-play and social interaction, children play out what they have observed from day-to-day shopping scenarios, and learn the first social rules. The shop is always located at a low height, enabling shopkeepers and shoppers to communicate easily with each other, and the counter is supported to accommodate even the biggest elephant without it bending. Can you catch the brightly coloured butterfly? The transition between the two towers is an experience in itself. The sloping bridge features Olivia’s butterfly, whose wings are made of unbreakable transparent polycarbonate in red and yellow. This enables the children to see the world in a new light, but also to hide or to try and catch the butterfly’s wings when they light up on the floor. The sloping bridge challenges most children’s motor skills, as they find it difficult to balance on their short legs. The second tower offers access to the driving position, where the key, steering wheel and movable buttons will put even the most determined racers to the test, all the while training their fine motor skills. On top of which there is the slide, which will provide rushes of exhilaration and sheer joy while training both gross motor skills and balance. Why choose LEDON MiniPlay?
