LB120

Fun and challenges with sliding poles and a climbing wall

The Bjork play tower is one play towers in the Basic series, where the play value is increased by having two play zones which are suitable for both older and younger children. The older will be challenged by the height of 190 cm as well as the climbing wall and sliding poles, while a play panel at the bottom of the tower invites the younger children to role plays. Do you want a simpler tower with less height and a slide instead? Then have a look at our LB110 Basil model.

A trip down the sliding poles is achieved via the tall climbing wall, which is designed with holes and climbing stones. Besides being a fun element on the play tower, the climbing wall also improves the children’s gross motor skills and develops their brain. Cross-body movements with the arms and legs strengthen the neural activity between the two sides of the brain, and this interaction is used when learning to read and write.

When the floor of the tower is reached, the trip down the slide can be enjoyed at full speed. If you are one of the really cool children, the sliding poles can also be used as a way to access the floor of the tower.

Room to play for the old and young children with divided play zones

The tall play tower has two play zones, which makes it possible for multiple groups of children to play together at the same time without interrupting each other. At the top of the tower, the older children can explore the climbing wall and the sliding poles, while the play panel at the bottom is perfect for the younger children. The play panel is designed with a small counter and an abacus, which is ideal for role playing. Over the counter, the children can sell mud pies and other goods from the shop, and while they are stimulating their imagination and creativity, the role and negotiation plays also help to develop their language. In the same way, the abacus is both part of the games and at the same time exercises the children’s fine motor skills and sense of numbers.

LB260

Exciting climbs and a play zone for the youngest children

Benja is one of our four two-tower play systems that are filled with play activities for both younger and older children. This model has a floor height of 140 cm and 190 cm, respectively, as well as a climbing wall and a climbing net, which challenges the older children. At the bottom of one of the towers, there is a play panel for the younger children, which invites games such as role play. These two play zones make it possible for several groups of children to play at the same time without disturbing each other. Do you want a simpler model without play zones? Then have a look at our LB270 Billie play system.

The Benja play system has two towers that are connected by a climbing net. The connection is made even more fun and challenging, as the offset placement of the net results in the children having to go through the green frames in the net in order to go from one tower to the other. This different way of accessing the towers that includes both a slide and sliding poles makes the upper part of the system suitable for older children.

Down below sits the play panel which is perfect for younger children. The play panel is designed with a small counter and an abacus, which is ideal for role playing. Over the counter, the children can sell mud pies and other goods from the shop, and while they are stimulating their imagination and creativity, the role and negotiation plays also help to develop their language.

Children’s development through play

The Benja play panel also has movable parts in the form of the abacus. The movable parts are not only a fun part of the game, but it also exercises the children’s fine motor skills. The fine motor skills have to be stimulated in order for the children to achieve skills such as precise hand movements. If they improve this, then it will be easier for them to hold and control tools such as a pencil, and this will be an advantage for them, for example when learning to write.

LB270

Exciting climbs and fun on the sliding poles

Billie is one of our four two-tower play systems which is filled with play activities that keep the children active and really challenge their gross motor skills. This model has a floor height of 140 cm and 190 cm, respectively, as well as a climbing wall, a climbing net and sliding poles that are all suited perfectly for older children. Do you want a model with play zones that also includes the younger children? Then have a look at our LB260 Benja play system.

The Billie play system has two towers that are connected by a climbing net. The connection is made even more fun and challenging, as the offset placement of the net results in the children having to go through the greens frames in the net in order to go from one tower to the other. At the same time, the children can climb to the floors of the towers via a rope ladder and two levels or they can use the climbing wall, which also leads to the sliding poles, where they can take a well-deserved slide down to the ground.

When children exercise their motor skills and balance by sliding and climbing on a play system like Billie, it also helps them strengthen their mental development in relation to courage and self-confidence. The better they are doing physically, the more they dare to try new things and the more they are able to enter new games and relationships, which has a positive effect on their social skills. Therefore the children’s games and activities on the playground are not just healthy for the body, they are also helpful for the mind.

A well-known favourite with a new element

The climbing nets in our Basic series now have an extra element in the form of two large green frames in the net. These frames give the children an extra fun challenge, as it is possible to crawl through to the other side of the net. This stimulates their gross motor skills because they use their arms and legs in new ways.

The net is made from Taifun combination rope that contains 48 steel wires, which gives the rope an extremely high tensile strength that makes it safe for the children and resistant to vandalism. On top of that, the climbing nets are assembled in our production facility in the small Danish town of Arnum, which guarantees Danish quality craftsmanship.

LB350

A large selection of play options

Boris is one of our biggest play environments in the Basic series. This model has three towers: two with a floor height of 140 cm and one of 190 cm. On top of that, you will find multiple play zones, a fun slide, a climbing net and climbing walls. Do you want a similar play environment with four towers instead? Then have a look at our LB450 Brandon play system.

The Boris play environment consists of three towers that are connected by a climbing net and monkey bars. The model has play zones at ground level for the youngest children and a bunch of exciting climbing activities for the older children in the form of a rope ladder, two climbing walls and a big climbing net. Besides being fun elements on the play system, the climbing activities also improve the children’s gross motor skills and develop their brain. Cross-body movements with the arms and legs strengthen the neural activity between the two sides of the brain, and this interaction is used when learning to read and write.

When the floor of the towers is reached, the children can enjoy the view over the playground before they either continue their climb or take a well-deserved trip down the slide from one of the towers.

An optimised play system that needs less space

For all of our models in the Basic series, we have focused on creating compressed towers with a minimal area requirement, thus giving you a competitively priced play system, where you will also save money on the safety surface, as this is also minimised. This also applies to the models with multiple towers connected by a climbing net. Here, the climbing net also requires a small area and safety surface. In this way, we ensure play equipment at a competitive price that is both fun and challenging and continues to support the children’s natural development.

LB450

The biggest selection of play options

Brandon is our biggest play environment in the Basic series. The model has four towers: three with a floor height of 140 cm and one of 190 cm. On top of that, you will find multiple play zones, both a slide and sliding poles as well as a bunch of climbing activities. Do you want a similar play system with three towers instead? Then have a look at our LB350 Boris play environment.

Brandon’s many towers are connected by two climbing nets and a monkey bar. Additionally you get three climbing walls, stepping stones, several levels and a play panel for the youngest children. All of these activities help to support the children’s natural development, both their gross motor skills when they climb and their fine motor skills when they immerse themselves at a play panel.

The play environment Brandon’s design is focused on the children’s play value. We have thought out solutions that guarantee a space for all children of all ages. For example, multiple age groups of children can play without disturbing each other, as there are several play zones. Likewise the activities are also distributed according to the age groups. This means that the play zones for the younger children are at ground level, while the challenging ascents to the high towers ensure that they are only accessible for the older children. In this way, we achieve an optimised environment, where the children can feel at ease and safe.

Our guarantee for a fun playground

One of our many ways to create a playground that both supports children’s natural development and has a high entertainment value is to bring in the experts themselves: the children. Children have a far-reaching imagination and a creativeness that knows no bounds when faced with thinking outside the box. This helps us to push our designs in directions which we could not even think of ourselves.

The Basic series is no exception. Once again, our little experts have been taking part in order to ensure that we hit the mark, when we try to make their wishes and dreams of a fun playground come true.

LP411

A dreamland for young pirates

Olympia is one of the three biggest ships in the Pirates series. All three ships are packed with play activities, but vary in terms of the slide option. The pirate ship Olympia is designed without a slide, while LP413 Atlantic has an open slide from a height of 90 cm and LP415 Alexandrina has a tube slide from a height of 190 cm.

These large pirate ships are a dreamland for all young pirates, and when they are this big they can accommodate a lot of children. There are countless play activities, for example all the moving parts such as the two ship’s wheels, compass, anchor, bell, rubber slats, telescope, keys and so on. In the Captain’s cabin you will find the treasure chest, dungeon, diamond panel, rubber slats, the movable crab, the underwater dome and many other activities.

The big windows on each side of the cabin allow adults to keep an eye without disturbing the children engrossed in their play. In the bow you will find the telescope, treasure chest and the cargo room, which can be accessed through the rubber slats. The two large masts with the parrot really emphasise the design of the pirate ship.

A pirate ship with a high ceiling

The biggest pirate ships give you two aft decks, one with a floor height of 90 cm and the other 190 cm. On the lower aft deck you can ring the bell or look out for land through the movable telescope mounted on the lookout barrel. The upper aft deck is accessed via the climbing wall panel or by scaling the large climbing net at the stern. When children climb, they perform cross-body movements which stimulate neural activity between both sides of the brain, and this helps them to learn to read and write. On the upper aft deck you can steer the pirate ship with the movable ship’s wheel or look at the lantern, which lights up when the sun shines through shockproof polycarbonate. You can read more about the four zones on the pirate ships and all the play activities here.

EX245

A full-on play system

Yaki is a play system designed for children aged approx. four years and up. With its specially designed climbing net and vertical climbing wall panels, there is no easy way up onto the towers. Climbing is both fun and healthy, because it exercises children’s cross-coordination skills. This stimulates neural activity between both sides of the brain, which also happens when children are learning to read.

Tube slide a favourite

For many years, LEDON’s tube slides have been very popular in the playground, and they can be designed in many different ways. The window ensures that light enters the tunnel. Yaki’s floor height of 190 cm guarantees high-speed slides.

Why choose LEDON Explore?

  • Low-maintenance play equipment in natural colours.
  • In particular, it challenges and stimulates children’s social skills, motor skills and balance.
  • The play systems come in a wide range of sizes and price classes to suit every need.
  • A theme world that arouses children’s natural interest in experiencing and exploring the world.
  • The largest theme world with many different items of play equipment for the entire playground.

EX375

Challenging play system with spiral tube slide

The Zulu play system incorporates one of LEDON’s popular tube slides. This is accessed via the vertical climbing wall panel or the swinging suspension bridge. From here, you slide at high speed down the tube, which leaves you reeling with excitement. Crawling around the system stimulates the children’s sense of balance, coordination and motor skills, but all the cross-movements with arms and legs also strengthen coordination between the two sides of the brain, which also happens when children are learning to read and doing mathematics.

Zulu is not just for older children

Even though Zulu has many activities for older children, the system also has a play area for children who are not ready to use the swinging suspension bridges or vertical climbing wall panels. The non-slip ramp provides access to the slide which starts at a height of 140 cm, and the play system also has a number panel and a cave panel with rubber slats at ground level.
