LP331

A real play-packed pirate universe

Maria C is one of the three large pirate ships that together with LP333 Victoria C and LP335 Absalon C can be surface-mounted. The ships of this size are real pirate universes, with too many activities to list them all here. Apart from the many movable parts, which can also be found on the smaller pirate ships: ship’s wheel, compass, anchor, rubber hatches, telescope etc., on the large pirate ships, children can also play in the captain’s cabin, where there is a treasure map, dungeon, diamonds, rubber hatches, the moving crab and many other play activities.

There are large windows on both sides of the cabin so that adults can keep an eye on activities without disturbing the children. This size of pirate ship includes the beautiful mast with the parrot, and which really underlines the design of the pirate ship.

A large pirate ship for surface-mounting

Our large pirate ships can be supplied for surface-mounting, as in-ground mounting is sometimes not possible. For example on paved areas, roof terraces, indoors etc. For surface mounting, the safety surface rules still apply, and in most cases rubber is the obvious solution. Please note that the ships for surface-mounting do not feature the large crawling net at the stern.

Why choose LEDON Pirates?

  • The play activities at the pirate playground are 100% inspired by children and based on children’s ideas about pirate-themed play activities.
  • In Pirates, several innovative play activities have been designed that stimulate role-play, social interaction and physical play, for example the wobbly plank.
  • The ships are available in many different price classes, and new elements can easily be added to the universe.
  • The pirate ships are divided into zones so that several age groups can play at the same time without disturbing each other.

Fun and challenges with a slide and a climbing wall

The Basil play tower is one of the play towers in the Basic series, which is both challenging and fun with a slide and a climbing wall as well as a floor height of 140 cm. Our similar LB120 Bjork model has a height of 190 cm, if you are looking for an extra degree of difficulty for the older children.

Basil offers one of the playground favourites: the slide. This is accessed via the climbing wall, which is designed with holes and climbing stones. Besides being a fun element on the play tower, the climbing wall also improves the children’s gross motor skills and develops their brain. Cross-body movements with the arms and legs strengthen the neural activity between the two sides of the brain, and this interaction is used when learning to read and write. When the floor of the tower is reached, the trip down the slide can be enjoyed at full speed.

Our guarantee for a fun playground

One of our many ways to create a playground that both supports children’s natural development and has a high entertainment value is to bring in the experts themselves: the children. Children have a far-reaching imagination and a creativeness that knows no bounds when faced with thinking outside the box. This helps us to push our designs in directions which we could not even think of ourselves.

The Basic series is no exception. Once again, our little experts have been taking part in order to ensure that we hit the mark when we try to make their wishes and dreams of a fun playground come true.

Why choose LEDON basic?

  • All the basic elements you need for a good-quality budget-priced playground.
  • Compact towers, which require little space.
  • The systems are available in a wide range of variants to meet any need.
  • Providing basic motor challenges is paramount – it is also a playground for older children.
  • Can be easily integrated into both existing play environments or combined with our other theme worlds.

LB130

Multiple levels and fun sliding poles

Bertil is one of the multi-level play towers of the series. This model has two levels of 90 cm and 140 cm, respectively. The Bertil play tower challenges the children’s gross motor skills and balance, both when they access the levels via the stepping stones and when taking a trip down the sliding poles. Do you want a similar model with stairs and a slide, which is more appropriate for younger children? Then have a look at our LB135 Baldur play system.

The stepping stones on the Bertil play tower give the children a different ascent, which in particular challenges their balance. The balance is important to stimulate, because while exercising the balance, you also train the cerebellum, which is used when we go up the stairs or lift things. Additionally the stepping stones make it easy to combine the play system with the other balancing equipment of the Basic series.

The first level of the tower is equipped with a window that inspires the children to creative and fun games as well as social interaction. At the top of the tower, a trip down the sliding poles can be enjoyed at full speed, and are you one of the really cool children that wants to test their arm and leg strength, then the sliding poles can also be used as a way to access the floor of the tower.

A light and minimalist design

In the Basic series, we focused on achieving a timeless design which could fit into urban spaces, homeowners and housing associations as well as day-care centres. All the playground equipment offers a feeling of lightness and transparency, which does not dominate the outdoor environment. Additionally the neutral colours and the simple structure also give room for the children’s own imagination to flourish, and they can to a large extent create their own world.

Multiple levels and a fun slide

Baldur is one of the multi-level play towers of the series. This model has a slide that is accessed from stairs and to different levels of 90 cm and 140 cm, respectively, which makes the play tower more suited for younger children. Do you want a more challenging model for older children? Then have a look at our LB130 Bertil play system.

The stairs ensure that even the youngest children can enjoy a trip down the slide from the Baldur play tower. Here they can easily move up the steps and grab hold of the handles on the sides. When they reach the first level of the tower, they meet a window that inspires the children to creative and fun games as well as social interaction.

At the top of the tower, a trip down the slide can be enjoyed at full speed. Here the repeating trips down the slide do not only bring smiles and excitement, they also help the children to improve their gross motor skills and balance. On top of that, the children also get better at judging distance and speed, as well as get a feel for gravity.

Quality materials provide better experiences

A trip down one of LEDONs slides has to be enjoyable in all kinds of weather. That is why they are produced in the durable material polyethylene which does not become hot in the sun, does not create static electricity and thus does not give shocks like metal slides.

In the same way, our windows are also designed to withstand all kinds of weather. They are manufactured in transparent polycarbonate which, thanks to its enormous impact strength, cannot be broken and is thus safe from vandalism. Additionally, the material is UV-protected and will not be discoloured despite many hours in the sun.

A climbing net and sliding poles which strengthen motor skills and balance

Baxter is one of our four two-tower play systems, where you can find many activities such as a climbing net, sliding poles and stepping stones, which helps to support the children’s physical and motor development, just like it challenges the older children with a floor height of 140 cm. Do you want a two-tower play system which is better suited for younger children? Then have a look at our LB250 Brody play system.

The Baxter model consists of two play towers that are connected by a climbing net. The floors of the towers each can be accessed in different ways. One tower has stepping stones and two different levels, while the other has a climbing wall and sliding poles, from where it is possible to slide down.

Common for all of Baxter’s activities is that they challenge the children’s gross motor skills and sense of balance. The better their motor skills and balance are, the more courage they have to explore their body’s other capabilities and functions as well as test their own limits. In that way, children build their confidence, which is important in their further development.

An optimised play system that needs less space

For all of our models in the Basic series, we have focused on creating compressed towers with a minimal area requirement, thus giving you a competitively priced play system, where you will also save money on the safety surface, as this is also minimised. This also applies to the models with multiple towers connected by a climbing net. Here, the climbing net also requires a small area and safety surface. In this way, we ensure play equipment at a competitive price that is both fun and challenging and continues to support the children’s natural development.

Climbing fun and trips down the slide

Brody is one of our four two-tower play systems that are filled with activities such as a climbing net, a slide and stepping stones. This model has a floor height of 90 cm and 140 cm, respectively, which combined with the slide and climbing net makes it accessible to a wide age group of children. Do you want a model with extra height and sliding poles which is more challenging and suitable for older children? Then have a look at our LB220 Baxter play system.

The Brody play system has two towers that are connected by a climbing net. Besides the climbing net, the floors of the towers can be accessed in different ways. One tower has a climbing wall, while the other has stepping stones. When the floor of the highest tower is reached, you can enjoy the view over the playground before sliding down the always fun slide.

The slide and the repeating trips down do not only bring smiles and excitement, they also help the children to improve their gross motor skills and balance. On top of that, the children also get better at judging distance and speed, as well as get a feel for gravity.

Exciting climbs and a play zone for the youngest children

Benja is one of our four two-tower play systems that are filled with play activities for both younger and older children. This model has a floor height of 140 cm and 190 cm, respectively, as well as a climbing wall and a climbing net, which challenges the older children. At the bottom of one of the towers, there is a play panel for the younger children, which invites games such as role play. These two play zones make it possible for several groups of children to play at the same time without disturbing each other. Do you want a simpler model without play zones? Then have a look at our LB270 Billie play system.

The Benja play system has two towers that are connected by a climbing net. The connection is made even more fun and challenging, as the offset placement of the net results in the children having to go through the green frames in the net in order to go from one tower to the other. This different way of accessing the towers that includes both a slide and sliding poles makes the upper part of the system suitable for older children.

Down below sits the play panel which is perfect for younger children. The play panel is designed with a small counter and an abacus, which is ideal for role playing. Over the counter, the children can sell mud pies and other goods from the shop, and while they are stimulating their imagination and creativity, the role and negotiation plays also help to develop their language.

Children’s development through play

The Benja play panel also has movable parts in the form of the abacus. The movable parts are not only a fun part of the game, but it also exercises the children’s fine motor skills. The fine motor skills have to be stimulated in order for the children to achieve skills such as precise hand movements. If they improve this, then it will be easier for them to hold and control tools such as a pencil, and this will be an advantage for them, for example when learning to write.

Exciting climbs and fun on the sliding poles

Billie is one of our four two-tower play systems which is filled with play activities that keep the children active and really challenge their gross motor skills. This model has a floor height of 140 cm and 190 cm, respectively, as well as a climbing wall, a climbing net and sliding poles that are all suited perfectly for older children. Do you want a model with play zones that also includes the younger children? Then have a look at our LB260 Benja play system.

The Billie play system has two towers that are connected by a climbing net. The connection is made even more fun and challenging, as the offset placement of the net results in the children having to go through the greens frames in the net in order to go from one tower to the other. At the same time, the children can climb to the floors of the towers via a rope ladder and two levels or they can use the climbing wall, which also leads to the sliding poles, where they can take a well-deserved slide down to the ground.

When children exercise their motor skills and balance by sliding and climbing on a play system like Billie, it also helps them strengthen their mental development in relation to courage and self-confidence. The better they are doing physically, the more they dare to try new things and the more they are able to enter new games and relationships, which has a positive effect on their social skills. Therefore the children’s games and activities on the playground are not just healthy for the body, they are also helpful for the mind.

A well-known favourite with a new element

The climbing nets in our Basic series now have an extra element in the form of two large green frames in the net. These frames give the children an extra fun challenge, as it is possible to crawl through to the other side of the net. This stimulates their gross motor skills because they use their arms and legs in new ways.

The net is made from Taifun combination rope that contains 48 steel wires, which gives the rope an extremely high tensile strength that makes it safe for the children and resistant to vandalism. On top of that, the climbing nets are assembled in our production facility in the small Danish town of Arnum, which guarantees Danish quality craftsmanship.
